Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what data PeopleHire, collects when you use peoplehire.com or its associated pages, and how we use it.
1. What we collect
Job seekers
Browsing and applying for jobs does not require an account. If you subscribe to job alerts, we collect: your email address, the job categories you select, your location preference, and whether you want remote-only roles.
Employers
When you post a job, we collect: company name, company website, your email address, and the job listing content you submit. If you pay for a listing, payment details are collected directly by Paddle (see below) — we never see or store your card details.
Automatically collected
We use Plausible Analytics for basic traffic and usage metrics (page views, job views, apply-click counts). Plausible is cookieless — it does not use cookies or collect personally identifiable information, and does not track you across other websites.
2. How we use it
- To operate the job board: publishing listings, matching and sending job alerts
- To process payments and manage subscriptions (via Paddle)
- To send transactional emails: listing submitted/approved notifications, payment failure notices, and weekly job alert digests
- To moderate listings and prevent abuse of the founding-employer free promotion
- To understand aggregate usage of the site and improve it
We do not sell your data. We do not use it for third-party advertising.
3. Who we share it with
We use the following third-party service providers (subprocessors) to run PeopleHire:
- Supabase — database hosting for all listing, employer, and subscriber data
- Paddle.com Market Limited — payment processing; Paddle acts as Merchant of Record and independently handles your payment and billing data under its own privacy policy
- Resend — transactional and digest email delivery
- Plausible — cookieless, privacy-focused website analytics
- Vercel — application hosting
These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually restricted from using it for their own purposes. We do not otherwise share your data with third parties, except where required by law.
4. Cookies
We use one essential cookie for admin authentication (HttpOnly, not accessible to scripts, used solely to keep an admin session signed in). We do not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies — Plausible operates without any.
5. Data retention
Job listings are retained for as long as they remain active plus a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping, then may be deleted. Subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Employer records are retained for as long as needed to service active or past listings and for legitimate business/tax record-keeping.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under GDPR for users in the EU/UK), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent to marketing emails at any time.
- Unsubscribe: every job alert email includes a one-click unsubscribe link
- Access, correction, or deletion: email hashimrahim2005@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable time
7. International data transfers
PeopleHire serves users globally, and our service providers (Supabase, Paddle, Resend, Vercel, Plausible) may process data in countries other than your own, including outside the EU/UK. We rely on those providers' own compliance frameworks (such as standard contractual clauses, where applicable) for these transfers.
8. Children's privacy
PeopleHire is intended for working professionals and is not directed at, or knowingly used to collect data from, anyone under 16.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
